Pronto Sessions, My Favorite!

I was a little disappointed to see that there was not a Pronto session for this pod; though I do understand because everyone is probably too busy with end of the semester stuff.  Pronto is one of my favorite things about this class.  I love the opportunity to get to talk with my classmates and hear other’s opinions of the stories read.  I often leave the sessions with an insight on things I would not have otherwise had after seeing it through someone else eyes.  Another thing that makes these so enjoyable for me is the extra information given by Mrs. Siemens.  It really does put a story into perspective to know about the author, the life they lived, and things they were going through at the time they wrote the piece.

  1. I definitely agree with you about the pronto sessions. This is the only class I have ever used pronto, though I suggest it as often as I canto teachers. I like the online classes because it makes college a lot easier for the working class and people with children, but I do miss the direct communication of others. I like to hear others opinions about what we have read, especially the men's. I too miss things while i am reading and hearing others helps me understand things I may have confused me. learning about the author does help, something I never bothered to do before these classes. I am sorry to say I am done with American Literature! For those of you moving on to the next class, it was my favorite and there a lot of good stories you will read.
